I had a couple appointments on the UES and was craving something quick to grab on the go. I randomly stumbled into Take Sushi on whim decision. There’s very limited seating but it’s perfect for takeout. There’s a chef making everything fresh to order which you can really taste. I got the salmon onigiri and it was a 10/10. This place is a great place for a quick bite to eat. It's ideal for smaller groups of one to two people. I ordered the tofu bowl with tofu, edamame, seaweed, red onions, and a cup of miso soup. The miso soup was savory, salty, light, and nutty. My tofu bowl had the perfect combination of sweet and nutty, chewy texture, and sharp and pungent red onions. The gentleman who made my bowl was quick, efficient, and hospitable. I highly recommend this place.
Wanted to like this place. Nice takeout package, friendly and fast service. But.. the sushi is not good. Rolls are meh.. sushi pieces a lot to be desired. There are better options.
