Chinese bakery renowned for Portuguese egg tarts and other treats at budget-friendly prices.
From Google Maps reviews.
Chinatown hole in the wall known for its buns and egg tarts. The tarts are very good esp the Hong Kong style. Flaky pastry. Silky egg and at 1.75 , a steal. The Portuguese egg tart the custard is denser, eggier. Right next to Wah Fung where you can grab a cheap but good rice plate with bbq pork, duck and or chicken.
I lucked out and got my egg tart right after it was baked! It was piping hot and sooo delicious! The crust was flaky and crispy, and the filling was jiggly, custardy, and slightly sweet. The whole thing was a symphony of textures, starting with the lightly crisp crust and ending with the soft egg melting in my mouth 🤤. I also got a red bean moon cake which was great! The red bean paste was smooth and sweet, and the crust was perfectly baked and beautifully designed. I would highly recommend t
I hope the Portuguese egg tart was as delicious as Bao’s. The crust was a bit more dense than flaky and overall lacked the egg tart flavor. The taro ball however was super soft and came with a strong taro note.
