Really loved my dinner at Tha Phraya! NYC has a ton of Thai restaurants, but this one definitely stands out. The menu has a variety of distinct dishes, the space is cozy, and the staff was super attentive. Everything we tried was delicious! We shared the Thai Corn Salad (super fresh), the Crab Fried Rice Lava (really good, though the rice was a bit dry), and the Goong Karee with shrimp, which ended up being my favorite dish of the night. So good!!! I really liked the pork belly dish, but the pad Thai was a little sweet. Update: I’ve been here 4 times in the last year and the hits keep coming. Highly recommend the branzino and shrimp curry and the pork belly, plus the raw shrimp and spring roll appetizers are great. Great atmosphere, good service, a little loud and tight considering how many tables there are, but it’s pretty easy to get a reservation. Love it! It deserves that bib gourmand
Paloh Hang (caramelized pork belly with egg) is so good. Squid Kai-Kem (stir-fried squid with salted egg yolk) - squid is so tender, simmering with creamy salted yolk curry sauce Nuea Toon Mor Fai (braised beef heal, meat balls Thai hot pot) a good shareable hotpot.
