Went to have a few brewskies… unfortunately had to hear bartenders vocal political views… who was not shy at all…. it’s fine we have different political views but I don’t want to hear yours while I’m trying to unwind ….
I'm disappointed in the atmosphere and the food compared to the old location. I could taste the freezer burn on the lukewarm fries and the burger was nothing special, but at least cooked close to the way I ordered it. Standard pub fare. Maybe their Irish food is great? Service was fine but there is zero character in this place compared to where it used to be. It's a Midwestern mediocre sports bar with Guinness, not an Irish pub.
Have been coming here since I was a little girl . The penny bar is a classic New York landmark . The cocktails are always great and service is good . The happy hour is a great find and hard to find a 6.00 modelo in NYC . Don’t usually eat here , but always make it a point to stop in . The food does look good from what I always see coming out !
