Neighborhood joint for breakfast and lunch plates, desserts, coffees and sandwiches.

Friendly staff, everytime I go. It's usually only one person working but it's never really a long wait for them to make the people invited lose order. It has some of the best croissants and desserts in the Astoria ditmars area. Today I ate a cheese filled croissant, oh my goodness it was so tasty. So the sweet ones are good, the savory ones are better and the coffee is too notch. I am definitely a fan. Great cafe. I need to go more often.
The spinach pie was very good. I bet the other food here is good too. My problem is the coffee. The iced coffee was very expensive and honestly undrinkable. For $7 a coffee, you'd expect it to not be sour, bitter, and watery. Literally couldn't even chug it to get through it. Literally the worst iced coffee I've had in the whole neighborhood. I threw away $7 unfortunately. If you go, get a pastry and go somewhere else for the coffee.
I have lived in Astoria for about 10 years now and I recently tried this place for the first time from TooGoodToGo. It was exceptional. Their cheese pie, their apple strudel variant, and even their savory croissant sandwiches, it was all up there with the best I've had. If you like any of those items, I suggest giving them a try. It was delicious.
