This was some of the best food I have had outside the Western Mediterranean. The bread was made fresh to order, the falafels fried to order, and the babaghanoush tasted smokey and sweet like it should. The service was lovely.
Tried The Grape Leaf for the first time. Chicken was tender and flavorful, rice had a nice seasoning, and the dry pita paired well with the meal. Portion size was decent for the price ($18). Only downside was that the chicken and tahini sauce portions could have been a bit more generous, and I wish I had kept the salad instead of extra rice. Overall, a tasty meal and worth trying.
Don’t be fooled by its fast food joint appearance, nor by your experience here under the previous management, this neighborhood type Middle-eastern restaurant has surprisingly improved since its reopening, under a new management.
