Food is solid here. Really like how fast the food came. Everything is made fresh and the fried chicken is super crispy on the outside the juicy on the inside. Cheese corn was very flavourful. The pancake was also very solid. Japchae was seasoned perfectly. Expect service to be a little slower because it is a mom and pop shop. The Cheese Tteokbokki with Katsu and Bulgogi Japchae were perfect. I would definitely recommend trying this place. Yet the fried chicken was a bit under-seasoned, the sauce flavor was mostly just on the crust, and the meat was slightly dry.
Ended up trying the Japchae twice as take out. The first time it was amazing, good amount of veggies, quality beef, plenty of wood ear mushrooms (which I love!) and the noodles were cooked perfectly. However, it was just a little too oily. The second time the Japchae was just ok. It had less mushrooms, almost all fat for the beef, and was even more oily, so that second time was a little disappointing. That said, I'm thinking the second day was just an off day.
