Feels almost like a bar on the left bank of Paris with its ancient flooring, pressed tin and wooden door jams. Dim lighting, small tables, no tvs. Music is the bartender’s choice and is generally superlative unless it’s live and then it’s unknown strivers making their sound. I’ll take this bar over any in Astoria, maybe even NYC.
Everytime I stop in here I enjoy my time and the drinks. Seems to always have a chill atmosphere with an experienced bartender willing to walk you through a few options if you are unsure. The prices for the drinks are all as expected, but be careful as we you may stay a lot longer than expected because of the vibes of just hanging out. The bar seems to be just far enough away from 31st and Ditmars to really not get heavy traffic during the afternoon times, which is perfect for me and my partner
Such a great bar, very laid back and features killer music. Bartenders are super friendly and helpful. The place really has a vibe. Don't let that one bathroom phone booth door get ya
