Delicious food, sunny window, no rush, friendly staff. It felt homey in there and it’s clearly a beloved neighborhood spot. They would say hello to passersby and chat up neighbors. I got Papi’s Fried Chuleta. Got a good portion that had a nicely crisp pork cutlet that, while a tad dry, was packed with flavor. So glad I found this place! The Mangu Tres Golpes was amazing! 10/10. The hospitality was definitely everything. This isn't a business that's looking to just take your money and send you on your way. Lu cares enough to make sure you have the best experience you can have. This is a business that aims to keep Ralph Avenue alive and I'm all for it! Oh and the coffee??? Delicious! Lu's Horchata Latte is a hit!
We really enjoyed our meal at The Spot and the service was fantastic! Friendly staff, fresh ingredients and made to order home cooked food. The outdoor seating puts you right in the center of the neighborhood comings and goings and right across from a housing complex. It gets loud and busy. But more than a few people glanced at our meals as they walked by and expressed how good it looked. Definitely recommend!
