Thank you Fabrizio for bringing this little gem to the lower side!!! handsdown the best place in Manhattan to have cocktails in a relaxed cool environment
This bar has gone viral for many years now and certainly has been mired in controversy. They have been discussed in many local and news outlets regarding their noise, crowd control, security and their impact to neighboring areas. In any case, despite the politics that surround this place, we popped in for a few quick drinks, it clearly is an it place for young folks to hang out, but nothing stood out to me other than the fact on warm weather occasions, you can sit outside.
Do not go here. When we first arrived, we grabbed drinks and were looking for a place to stand. One security guard kindly told me to move behind the fenced-off area, so I did. About 30 seconds later, a different security guard came up directly into my face and started yelling, “YOU CAN’T STAND THERE.” I explained that the other security guard had just told me it was okay, but he kept yelling and said he didn’t care. People around us were visibly shocked and even asked if I was okay afterward.
