We stopped by this place for dinner after attending a church service at St. Ignatius on the Upper East Side. As walk-ins, we were warmly welcomed and accommodated at the bar seating, which we appreciated given that the space is relatively compact. The staff were friendly and attentive, setting a positive tone for the evening. We ordered the beef and shrimp tacos, and they were excellent — very tasty and nicely presented. Yesterday we went to Toloache and it completely blew our minds. We would easily rank them as fine Mexican dining. The drinks were delicious and well made. The short rib quesadilla was unlike anything my palate had ever experienced. It was truly one of the best dishes we have ever had at a restaurant. The branzino was delicious, with perfectly crispy skin and tender, flavorful fillet. Toloache, we will definitely visit again.
Walked passed this location almost everyday and finally stopped in for an after work drink. Very friendly staff, quick service and nice margaritas. Cozy inside. Bartender Rafael was real cool..will be stopping by more often!
