This was a very disappointing rice roll since the requested toppings were not cooked incorporated. We got an order of the roast pork and it was small cubes poured on top of the rice rolls. The rice rolls themselves were not silky, thicker than I had wanted. The portion of the meat to the small rice rolls was not worth $8. Even with the condiments offered on the table (soy sauce, hoisin, peanut sauce), it was still disappointing to eat. On the chalk board was advertised the #1 sponge cake for $1.
For the price you cannot complain. Seven dollars will definitely fill up the average person. This place is known for the steamed rice rolls which they serve generous portions of. But it’s not the best tasting ones in the city. They’re also known for the sponge cake that we unfortunately didn’t get to try, but we will next time. The fillings were decent. Damn, didn’t think I would ever get disappointed by Tonii but it happened today. I used to order from here frequently, their veggie steamed rice rolls are yummy. I ordered a beef rice roll today and it was so lacking! There was barely any meat chunks, 10 pieces max maybe. The layers of the rice rolls are all mushed up and tasted very mushy. The noodles to meat proportion is so off - I feel like a small chern fun from the cart near Hong Kong supermarket has more meat than this! So disappointed to
