Upside Pizza in SoHo definitely lives up to the hype — the line was looong, but the variety of pizzas made it worth trying. My personal favorites were the mushroom thin-crust slice and their thick-cut pepperoni pizza (not even sure if it’s focaccia-style or Sicilian-style, but it was SO good). The thick slice had that perfect texture: fluffy inside, crispy outside, with generous pepperoni and cheese that felt super satisfying. Got the spicy vodka slice on a rainy spring day. It was fast service, quick cook, and absolutely delicious. Thin crispy crust, deliciously flavored sauce, and easy to stand at the counter and eat while waiting out the rain.
I have always walked by this place and never tried it but one day I decided to go in and let me tell you this place has the MOST DELICIOUS cheese slice I have ever had. I haven’t even tried any of the other flavors because the cheese is just too good! I normally only eat 1 slice when I get pizza during my lunch break, but I can’t resist getting 2 when I go here! I can’t believe I’ve been missing out for all these years.
