Vera's is a much needed fresh food spot on Sutter ave in Brownsville/E. NY. I arrived at opening and most of the options were not ready. I did get the $6 platter with chili barbecue chicken mac and cheese and a drink. The food was tasty and I must come back around noon.
So this year Thanksgiving I went out to eat and I am so grateful I went to this restaurant!! In addition to the portions being generous the flavor reminded me of my deceased grandmother greens❤️ the location was farther than the one I normally go to but it was well worth it! Get the peach cobbler for dessert! The manager also gave me another side of the peach cobbler too!!! Everything from the service to a peaceful Thanksgiving was all due to Vera’s Restaurant!
I came all the way from Cali to try Vera's. I wasn't disappointed, the food is delicious. I got the Firecracker Turkey Wing Plate, it's sweet with a hint of spice. The Cabbage is well seasoned with the bell peppers and smoked meats. I loved the peppered macaroni, it was cheesy and savory. My bf really enjoyed his plate too.
