We were looking for a place to have a "Celebration of Life" for our mother. A friend (Denise Garrett) recommended the VFW Post in Gerritsen Beach. We drove over and looked at the place and decided it was perfect for our event. We were put in touch with Butch and he was very helpful to us. He was accessible via cell phone, offered suggestions and showed up the day of the celebration. He made sure we had everything we needed. It's a place who honors deceased veterans by having a parade on Memorial Day. Plus it has respectful bar staff. So I give it 5- star ratings!
