Walter Reade at Lincoln Center is one of the great movie venues in the City to catch foreign, indie, and classics. Their film festivals and tributes are legendary. On this occasion the purpose of my visit was to see the great comedy classic ‘Young Frankenstein’, which was fantastic to see on the big screen. A small theatre with comfortable seats. Great movies, not the usual block buster stuff they show at AMC. Also doesn’t get too busy usually so it feels like quite a nice relaxing experience.
I go to the movies a lot, and this is easily one of the best independent cinemas in NYC. Film at Lincoln Center always has an excellent rotation of lesser-known modern films. I saw It Was Just An Accident here, and the audience was one of the most respectful I've ever been in, and the theater itself is wonderfully kept and amazing for movies like these.
