I’ve tried this place three times now and I just don’t like it. I know Mamdani loves and I and I like almost all his favorite places but this just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve had the chicken adana laffa, sausage laffa, mixed shwarma pita, and eggplant. The laffa sandwiches are definitely better than the pita sandwiches. Still, the flavors just don’t really do it for me. The spice mix on the chicken and sausage is off putting; the shwarma meat is a little burned; the sandwiches are all way too ove
Absolutely delicious and full of flavor! The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the rice aromatic and fluffy, and all the fresh sides made the plate feel balanced and homemade. The pickled vegetables added the perfect tangy kick 🌿✨ Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and beautifully prepared. Even the presentation looked inviting and colorful. Definitely a place I’d come back to when craving a satisfying, flavorful meal in NYC!
Zyara was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was incredibly flavorful and you can tell everything is made with care. I ordered the mixed shawarma and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. The portion was so generous it left me completely full, and I even had some to take home. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.
