This was my first time trying 787 with my friend who had tried it in Puerto Rico. The dulce de leche latte (with oat milk iykyk) was fantastic. And Ilene was so kind and knowledgeable! I loved all the PR references throughout the shop. Definitely going to make a point to come back here before I leave the city!
May 2026: Stopped by for a pour over coffee. Of the two options, I chose the supremo beans. Notes were butter, citrus and dark chocolate. Liked the coffee. Get a little bitterness in the coffee that was a little unexpected. Didn't get any citrus notes. Service was friendly. Will rate five stars overall, but dropping the coffee to four ⭐ because of the miss on my tasting notes. Would try a different bean next time.
Heard great things about 787 but unfortunately the coffee didn't hold up. Got 2 mazapan iced lattes. One with the upgraded beans for $3! (supposed to be hints of chocolate and cinnamon) and one Supremo. Both coffees were entirely different. The Supremo had nuts in it and the other didn't. The upgraded beans didn't pair well with the mazapan flavor. To me neither made the mazapan flavor mark. The service was awesome and the inside decor is original.
