Had such a great experience at Ai Ki Ya Japanese Restaurant! The highlight for me was definitely the cotton candy sukiyaki — not only does it look super cute and Instagram-worthy, but the flavor is amazing. Once the cotton candy melts into the broth, it creates a slightly sweet, rich taste that pairs perfectly with the thinly sliced beef and veggies. So comforting and unique! The Sea Salt Cream Mentai Udon is an absolute must-try—incredibly creamy with the perfect savory kick from the mentaiko. We also loved the American Wagyu and Pork Jowl skewers; they were grilled to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. Tried Ai Ki Ya near Koreatown Manhattan and was pleasantly surprised. I came for their cotton candy sukiyaki and it was both fun and delicious—the cotton candy melts into the broth and adds a light sweetness. A bit pricey but the portion is generous with good quality beef and lots of veggies, easily enough for two.
