Free bananas for the public! If you enter the building on 38th st, there’s a Banana Stand providing free bananas to the public every weekday. It’s provided by Amazon, but it’s free to the public. And the staff are super friendly. There’s usually a yellow sign in front of the doors you’ll want to use on 38th St. The door you want to use is glass and leads right to a short set of stairs. Don’t go into Shaver Hall (same bldg, different destination).
This building may not be a high-rise, but it holds historical significance comparable to any in town. It features symbols reflecting the origins of the textile industry and once housed Lord & Taylor's flagship store. The rooftop offers stunning, nearly 360-degree views and is a must-see. While the toilet is oddly placed in a corner given the large floor plan, and ventilation could be better, it remains a charming office space.
Stunning views, scenic outdoor space, great cafe, friendly staff, and a banana stand open to the public. I liked it so much I decided to spend 40 hours per week at Hank.
