Creative cocktails paired with modern Mexican small plates in a chic, wood-and-brick space.

This place is good. As an ex-californian who is just moving to NYC, I was worried about a lack of mexican food compared to the golden state, but eating at anejo was a great start. This definitely felt like upscale mexican food that was worth the price. The guac was super flavorful, chips were spiced, and the quesadilla (I know) was also tasty. They also had great value at lunch. My only real complaint is that the salsa they provided with our food was a little lackluster.
Loved it! Fresh, quality food and a fun, quaint atmosphere. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and surprised me with birthday churros. They were knowledgeable about the menu and could answer any questions we had. Def recommend
We had such a great night!!! Justin was incredible. He taught us to much about tequila, how to look for the what’s good / what to pass on. We found our new favorite tequila to replace our go to. HIGHLY recommend.
