Peak New York diner vibes - it’s a small space but service is lightning fast so they hustle people in and out so you don’t wait long even if it’s full. Had to get a mug for myself because the aesthetic was just so classic. I wouldn’t say it’s overly pricey considering where it is in New York either, and the portions are enormous.
A classic New York diner. Over abundant Greek salad. 16 oz burger, cooked to perfection. Fries crispy but not oily. Sauteed broccoli with just the right amount of oil and char. Crispy pickles and tangy coleslaw. We didn't place the largest order, but our server was super attentive and made us feel important. Places like the Astro but becoming fewer and further between. Go and have a good meal and go soon.
Stopped off here for a quick lunch. Friendly staff, quick and efficient service and the best hot chocolate I have probably ever had. Really nice food and would come back here if I were to return to NYC. I would say it is a tiny bit cramped and not necessarily the most accessible place if you had a wheelchair or needed room to get about but it did have a nice vibe in there.
