The atmosphere was decent overall, though the music was a bit too loud and made it difficult to hold a conversation at times. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which definitely added to the experience. The food was typical bar fare — good, but nothing particularly memorable. We ordered the small appetizer platter, and while the presentation was beautifully done, the flavors themselves were fairly standard. Okay, I absolutely love Fred. He was amazing. I would definitely return to see him. As for the food, meh! It didn’t seem fresh and had an “it’s been in the refrigerator all week” kind of taste. The drinks were good, and I would return to hang out with Fred. 😊🤭
Good price for downtown NYC. Very convenient and walkable from our nearby, historic hotel. Across from the port authority bus depot, a few blocks from Penn Station and kitty corner to the NYT building. Enjoyed the roof top restaurant, which had both open and covered seating. Such a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city: near it and out of it at the same time. I would recommend.
