The Sunday air was warm and inviting—the kind of weather that tempts you to wander with no particular plan. After a lovely afternoon out, a friend and I found ourselves stepping into Birch Coffee on 7th Avenue, hoping for a quiet close to the day. We kept our order simple: an iced latte, an Americano, and a lemon poppy scone to share. But unfortunately, this stop didn’t quite live up to the ease of the afternoon. A bit small, however it’s cozy enough to sit and unwind with your favorite brew and some mellow music. Their baristas are friendly and certainly makes you feel welcomed.
Birch is one of the few local coffee shops around the big apple. Its quality really stands out (specially from a famous Seattle based coffee shop that you can stumble upon every corner). Having said that, their staff could be a bit friendlier, specially for those of us who can only have their latte when Unsweetened Almond milk. Worth to mention the Latte art is great.
