During our trip to New York, it was very cold and rainy. As we were walking by Bites of Xi’an, we decided to step inside to warm up and grab something to eat — and we were pleasantly surprised. Since it was our first time there, the staff kindly helped us choose. You can simply tell them what you like, and they’ll take care of the rest. I was pleasantly surprised eating the spicy hot oil seared hand-ripped noodles from this restaurant. The noodles were springy and had the unique texture that comes from hand-pulling. The dish does carry a kick, and there’s a deceptive amount of pork in the dish, even more than can be seen in the photo. The food was pretty good, but the restaurant is slightly unclean. They are located a block from Port Authority Bus Terminal. The food was legit, served in a large bowl at a good value. I will come back for sure.
