Very disappointed with my experience at Bonberi Mart. The selection of snacks and pantry items is surprisingly small, and despite having only a limited number of products on the shelves, they still managed to sell me a bag of expired chips. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the date until I got home. To make matters worse, the prices are extremely high. I paid nearly $10 for a single bag of chips that was already past its expiration date. They seem a little all over the place in there. Also, the gluten-free cinnamon roll muffin was extremely dry and cold/old like it’s been in the refrigerator for a few days. I had to spit it out as soon as I took a bite into it. For that price, it’s not worth it.
Bonberi Mart carries Knead Love bakery (also found at the union square greenmarket) local whole grain vegan/gluten-free breads, brownies, and cinnamon buns, and many other nutritious foods, and natural home essentials like bamboo toothbrushes. The store is on quiet 11th street in the west village just west of greenwich st, and has a small seating area by the window.
