Service was nice so I’ll give 5 stars… but there are way too many fruit flies at the bar. I know it’s hot out, but you got to treat those drains behind that bar and really clean it every night. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but there were at least 10 flies living their best life by the aperol. I would have gotten some cheese and charcuterie with my wine, but eating there would have definitely been a battle of swatting flies between bites.
Post-hotel happy hour and feeling a bit hungry, I made my way down to Cognac Brasserie for what turned out to be one of the absolute best meals I had during my entire New York takeover. Loved this place! Valentina was seriously so sweet and helpful when I was booking the reservation, and when we got there she was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. We came for lunch and everything was so good. The lunch menu has great options, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. The vibe is cozy and relaxed, and the service made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back. So happy I found a great neighborhood spot! Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/
