Toast Cafe Brasserie—Robbery in Progress, No Ski Mask Required From the looks of the place when you walk in, Toast Cafe Brasserie seems well-maintained and decent. Clean buffet stations, organized layout, the promise of variety and friendly staff. Looks can be deceiving. I filled up my plate with an assortment of steamed vegetables, fried rice, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef. Ordered a green juice and proceeded to checkout, where I was hit with the first shock of the day: a $35 price tag.
It’s delicious! There are so many things to choose from. Decent prices, good quality, great service. Loved the hot and cold bar! $14.99 per lb
I’m extremely disappointed with how this place treats regular customers. I’m an MTA bus operator, and between me and my coworkers, we bring a LOT of business here daily. We’re talking breakfast, lunch, and dinner—easily $80–$100 per person, every day. That adds up to hundreds of loyal customers consistently supporting this business. Despite that, the way we’re treated is unacceptable. If you come in early, spend money, and return later in your shift, they refuse to let you use the bathroom un
