Café 52 is a good spot with good customer service and a menu that gives you different things to try. Everything I’ve had from here has been good, and the food always feels worth coming back for. It can get busy around dinner time, especially with people coming after work or picking up orders, but the wait is worth it. The service has always been good, and the food comes out solid. Overall, good food, good service, and a place I’d recommend.
Cafe 52 is a great neighborhood spot with good food and good service. What works against is not really their fault but more a matter of their close proximity to the elevated 7-traibs tracks above. I'm not sure if it would even be possible anymore but an outside dinning enclosure would be really helpful here.
Before I get to the good part of my review: I have to say that this place is BADLY IN NEED OF A MAKEOVER. The owner has a consistent update of “specials” but really they need to update the decor and tables and floor- it is not visually appealing to come to this establishment. My friends never want to join me here for this reason. I live around the corner and come here A LOT. Have been a consistent patron for 6 years now.
