I stopped by as it was next to the botanical garden. I cant believe as a native New Yorker this was my first time visiting. They have many floors of interesting exhibits from modern art to old Korean artifacts. I highly recommend this museum.
Excellent museum. I visited all five floors and enjoyed all of them. I think my favorite was the American art floor, which had a huge variety of works, including a gallery of randomly assorted paintings. The Egyptian collection was also stunning. The beautiful classical building is right next to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, so if you like outdoor activity you can make a day of it.
One of my absolute favorite museums! The curatorial work is extraordinary—deeply thoughtful, impeccably researched, and executed with remarkable vision. Each exhibition is truly world-class, beautifully designed, and unfolds with beauty and intelligence. Every visit feels like a new discovery, filled with exceptional works and unforgettable exhibitions. If you’re in Brooklyn or the greater New York area, this museum is an absolute must-see.
