I had ordered a simple baseball cake on a Wednesday, intending to have it ready for Sunday. However, when I arrived on Sunday to pick it up, I was met with a terrible experience. The cake they had prepared was not what I had ordered; instead, they had made a basketball. The person who was supposed to help me then proceeded to suggest that I choose from the old cakes in the freezer, which I had no other option but to do. I reluctantly picked one, but they attempted to transform it into a baseball
My family has been coming here since 1994 we get our birthday cakes from here for everyone in the family. For Mother's Day, Father's Day, welcome home, etc... We know the family that runs this location, and they are the sweetest and kindest. This is why I buy from family owned they pay attention to their customers and appreciate them. Thanks, Carvel (on castle hill) for making my childhood and family events special.
I will update this review in the future because let's face it, Carvel makes amazing ice cream. But when most of your Bronx locations look like they haven't spent a dime on renovations since like 1995 and you are promoting new delicious flavors to attract customers, yet none of your Bronx locations carry it. I went to 3 Bronx locations and 2 out of 3 are in desperate need of repairs (and very limited flavors). Now their Yonkers locations 👌👌 very spiffy (very nice selection of flavors). Come on
