Situated on the 55th floor of One Vanderbilt, you start by checking in at the front desk to get swiped thru the turnstiles. The person who did this for me was lk rude, but otherwise it was uneventful - you need a reservation, obvi, as well as an ID, and a photo of you is taken for presumably the internal building security system.
