After 10+ visits I can safely say that Chef Katsu consistently delivers! The humble establishment punches far beyond its weight with the food quality rivaling that of fancy restaurants at 2-3X the price point. The menu is not long, demonstrating careful restraint by the chef. One cannot go wrong with any item. My go-to orders are the salmon ikura rice bowl or the pork katsu curry. Haven’t yet tried the shrimp katsu burger, which looks scrumptious. Don’t skip the desserts like panna cotta or yuzu
ordered the special katsu of the day- the shrimp katsu burger! it had the perfect bite and the bread was nice and fluffy. the shredded cabbage was crisp and well seasoned too. the pork katsu burger was a bit forgettable in comparison but still enjoyable overall. i wish the pork katsu was thicker. i think that would've enhanced the dish. for the price, it was acceptable. finally, we got the salmon and ikura bowl, which was fresh. the sushi rice was more flavorful than the standard stop and go s
Small spot with indoor and outdoor seating, so keep that in mind if you’re looking to dine in during peak times. The salmon & ikura bowl was pretty good but feels a little overpriced for the amount of salmon you get. The ikura carries it. The staff were very courteous.
