A great neighborhood cafe with fresh sandwiches and a vibrant, well-lit space. There’s ample seating, and tables are large enough to work comfortably. We came in for lunch and had a nice experience ordering a combination of sandwiches and wraps. You can tell the bread is baked fresh, and the pastries looked great too, though we didn’t try any this visit. Very prominent cinnamon flavour (look at that beautiful brown colour!), fluffy bread, yummy frosting. Even better that the bread was crispy on the outside. My favourite cinnamon roll in the city so far.
I am fairly consistent customer. Ciao Gloria started in its glory days with fresh tasty food worth the price, including their sweet treats. However, over the most recent year, I have noticed quality of the food going down. The salads and sandwiches are lacking in their seasonal ingredients and hearty flavors...maybe its a different chef? I don't know, but its definitely not the same. I occasionally treat myself to their sweets, which are still pretty good. Unfortunately, not my top choice for
