I had the great pleasure of taking ASA 101 at CIYC with Herb d'Entremont. He is an experienced and very friendly skipper. The two days of sailing, applying the concepts learned in class, were a fantastic learning experience. I highly recommend it!
I've always wanted to go to City Island, a far-flung neighborhood of the Bronx that's a schlep from most parts of the rest of the city, especially if you rely on public transport. But we had the opportunity to drive there, and decided to go to CIYC for dinner. The staff were wonderful and welcoming from the moment we called to make a reservation.
