Cocotazo was absolutely amazing and lived up to every bit of the hype. We made reservations and were seated promptly, which was a great start to the evening. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere reminded me of my grandmother’s house. The warmth, the decor, and the feeling of being surrounded by family brought back memories I haven’t felt in a long time. Visiting from OH I decided to visit this beautiful restaurant from location to service I absolutely recommend 100%. The area the restaurant is in felt like a home away from home and I was met by the most welcoming atmosphere from the host, waitress to the chef personally coming out at the end of our dining experience. I’ve lived in NYC for a few years, but was born and raised in PR and was feeling homesick. I kept seeing videos of this restaurant on social media and my expectations were fully met. I had a great server, the food came quickly, and the meal itself was delicious. I ordered the bistec encebollado and while it was different from what I typically ate growing up, I liked this version a lot. The meat was cooked perfectly and really juicy.
