Congee Village is a longtime chinatown staple (30 years strong!), serving family style cantonese dishes, dim sum, congee, and rice at reasonable prices. Not sure how many years this place has been a New York staple, but it's been a while since my last visit. After eating here again, it’s still just as delicious. Here is a quick review: 👑 Garlic Fried Chicken: Roast chicken. My friend highly recommended this and said it’s a must-order every time. Lychee ice was delicious and quite sweet, with a few real lychees in it. The braised lobster with scallions was a bit too salty. The osmanthus vermicelli and egg soup actually had a hint of osmanthus fragrance. The quality of their dishes is relatively consistent.
