Side Notes/Mini Review- Rating is for the area (if this were in the East Village, for instance, it would be closer to a 3.) Apparently, the other location is known for Sizzling Steak, so possibly get that. Good Niu Rou Mian/Beef Noodle Soup. Tasty Pork Thick Soup/Rou Geng. Would not recommend Lu Ro Fan/Minced Pork Over Rice. Expect a wait as it gets crowded. The pork chop in my bento is the driest I’ve ever had in my life! I felt thirsty swallowing down these pork chops. The shop looks clean and the pickup was easy. Will not come back though!
I most likely will never come back. The food had absolutely no flavor and tasted nothing like authentic Taiwanese cuisine. The side dishes that came with the bento were supposed to be warm, but everything was served cold. Even the main dish was cold. The braised chicken leg was extremely disappointing—it had almost no flavor, was dry, tough, and honestly one of the worst chicken legs I’ve ever had. The food really needs significant improvement.
