I liked the menu and wanted to try it after my hospital visit. It turned out to be one of the best South Asian restaurants among dozens I've tried in NYC. For fish enjoyers in particular, you must try the Bengali Fish Korai. I ordered the Lamb Saag first, a favorite of mine. It's great. The lamb was very clean-tasting, lean but juicy and tender; the saag creamy, flavorful, and chopped instead of blended so it tasted like a real stew and not a smoothie. No chili was used in the Saag. Went for dinner and food was great! I have ordered take out before on many occasions and everything tastes and looks freshly made. Excellent service as well.
We were in the UES area and tried out this restaurant by chance. To our pleasant surprise, the food and service were really good! We ordered a samosa chaat (see pic) as an appetizer and chicken vindaloo, butter chicken, and a plain naan, which were all fresh and delicious! Can’t wait to come back and try some other dishes!
