So I came here to celebrate Valentines and my anniversary. I read the reviews and never was lead wrong when doing so until today. First off for the price point I real do expect a great meal. However, this wasn’t the case. My meal started off with Shrimp that was good in size but pretty chewy and the sauce tasted like the kind that comes packaged with a store bought frozen shrimp ring. Frankie & Johnnie’s on 46th delivered a classic NYC steakhouse experience. We shared the porterhouse for two, jumbo shrimp cocktail, Brussels sprouts, and the lyonnaise potatoes—everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I also had a couple of excellent cocktails at the bar. Service was warm and professional, getting a last-minute reservation on OpenTable was surprisingly easy, and casual dress felt totally welcome. An iconic, no-stress spot that’s incredibly convenient to Times Square.
Frankie and Johnny’s NYC was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. Our waiter, Arrow, was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and truly elevated the night. The espresso martini was delicious and perfectly balanced. I ordered the filet, which was seasoned and cooked to perfection.
