ATMOSPHERE: I typically start my reviews mentioning the food because that’s obviously why you go to a restaurant but truly the atmosphere of this is incredible. think a high budget Cracker Barrel that feels truly homie and not kitschy at all. All of the decor was meticulously thought out. At the entrance are created with some soft atmosphere music and an adorable bar with a couple of high tops. A bit pricier but worth every penny for healthy and unique fresh food options. The restaurant has a true farm to table feel, and the inside makes you feel like you are sitting in a cozy English cottage. The ambience and service were both fantastic. We loved everything we ordered, especially the shepherd’s pie. That was a total hit. The cornbread was also fantastic, and the quinoa salad was very fresh tasting. Definitely a great place if you are looking for a comforting and fresh dinner.
First off --being in a colonial inn like atmosphere for brunch without leaving NyC. How amazing. The Bloody Mary was amazing. The granola yogurt dish had melt in your mouth granola with a touch of cinnamon. So good. The pancakes were fluffy and light. With that salted butter and syrup premixed combo served to me --I was in heaven. I didn't have to struggle with frozen pats of butter so many places annoy me with. And the eggs are flavorful.
