We met friends for happy hour at Grove Street Social in the West Village. It’s a cute neighborhood spot with decent happy hour pricing. We enjoyed the fried pickles and a watermelon cocktail, both of which were fine but not standout. One highlight was that they have games available—we played Scrabble while waiting for our friend to arrive, which made for a fun, relaxed hangout. It might be an exaggeration to call their happy hour the best deal in the city, but not by much. This is a fantastic place with fantastic prices. The sliders are almost 3 full burgers for $10, and they're great. The beer is $6, and the margaritas $10. They are strong! If you're looking for a happy hour deal around here, this is probably the best you're going to find.
Nice quaint bar at the edge of the Meat Packing District. It's on the cozy, small and compact side but definitely carries a wide choices of cocktails, drinks, and food. The interior is slightly quirky but definitely has a industrial and quintessential NYC / Brooklyn vibe. The drinks are good. The food was also quite tasty considering a small kitchen that serves a small crowd. Not sure if they're making everything fresh but who cares when you are having a good time with drinks and friends.
