Great location. 2.5 stars. Hotel itself is kind of run down. Elevators looked like they were falling apart; dirty surfaces, locked boxes open and lights flickering. The room smelled like cert old carpet and feet. Beds were clean, but comforter looks like it’s about time to replace. I mistakenly went to the other Hampton Inn in Times Square and I wish we had stayed there instead- it was much nicer. But I’m sure the price was right and for a father/son trip, it did the job.
Just back from spending 3 nights here the hotel is in a good location less than 10 minutes walk from penn station. 10 minutes to times square . The hotel is ok nothing special beds were comfortable room was cleanish ensuite was OK shower sometimes wasn't the warmest. Breakfast was OK basic a few hot items then cereal toast yogurts that sort of thing . The guy that works in the breakfast area what a nice guy big shout out to him so friendly I heard many guests asking him all sorts of questions
want to start by saying the staff was very friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. Their hospitality and customer service skills were top-tier, and it truly made us feel comfortable despite the issues we experienced. Check-in was handled by the front desk rep Zay, who was amazing and very patient while assisting us. We had some confusion regarding parking, and he did everything he could to help.
