Spicy Sichuan dishes like dan dan noodles are heat-rated by number at this informal restaurant.
From Google Maps reviews.
Everything we ordered was very good and tasty. The red spice level numbers in the food descriptions were much tamer than we'd have expected, so anyone into spicy food should divide those numbers in half. The lo mein was nice and medium firm. Service was friendly and very quick. This and the East Village location are good places to eat.
Found this place near a friend’s house in the early afternoon and was seated right away. We tried some noodles, pork buns, dumplings, etc. The buns were okay - tad bland. Dumplings and noodles were soo good though.
This might be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Reservations at 6:30 on a Sunday, although plenty of seating thanks to massive space. Food was great. Our selection was on the spicier end (mung bean noodle with chili sauce, dry pot), but the chefs did an excellent job balancing spice with texture with other flavors. Service was one of the best (cleaned out oily plates, asked when we want our food to come out). And ambience is also elegant. Will come again!
