We have been to dozens of omakases at various price points and this place did not disappoint. Quality of the fish was incredible and the nigiri pieces were large. For $75, 13 courses this will become a staple omakase for us. Jimmy was very knowledgable and introduced each piece. Go here!
An amazing deal for Manhattan. The space is simple and minimalistic — just a sushi bar, the chef right in front of you, and beautifully fresh fish served piece by piece. It feels intimate and focused entirely on the food. I was visiting NYC and saw that there are so many omakases but decided to go with Hanaya because of the high reviews. It did not disappoint! It was a 13 course omakase for $75 which is a great price in my opinion. I can’t exactly remember all of the courses, but my favorites were the torched scallop with truffle butter and the sweet shrimp with seared foie gras. I would eat just those two if I could.
