Harbor Eats in Snug Harbor has become one of my absolute favorite spots. The food is consistently fantastic—the zucchini flowers are excellent! But what really sets this place apart is the vibe. The owner, Genaro, is incredibly friendly and always makes us feel right at home. He is especially welcoming to my dog, which makes dining here such a great experience. If you’re looking for great food and service in a beautiful park setting, this is the spot!
Harbour Eat inside the Snug Harbour Cultural Centre feels like your typical local eatery simple, quiet, and a convenient spot if you’re already in the area. The food was decent overall. We tried the burger, the fried chicken sandwich (which was quite good, especially with the chipotle mayo), and the chicken nuggets with fries. We just moved to NYC in January, so today’s visit was our first. We couldn’t decide on lunch, until we passed this place! The Italian gentleman at the counter was a gem to talk to and interact with—service was top notch! And he’s a hoot to cut up with! Now to the food…OMFG! My husband and I shared the meatball hero and mozzarella sticks, and I’m SO glad we shared! LOL The sandwich was huge, flavor was exceptional, and the owner was such a sweetheart! We saved a little room and tried Italian Ice
