I used to swing by here for BBQ, but it’s gone downhill fast. Their barbecue is nowhere near good—dry, rubbery, lacking proper sauce and flavor. Plenty of other Asian spots carry BBQ these days anyway, so this place has zero unique selling point. Consistency is nonexistent; half the time the meat tastes stale. I’d rate this a 2 out of 10 at most, total garbage now.
This joint is way too overhyped for how mid all their food is. Singapore chow mei fun hit different in the worst way—noodles turned mushy from sitting in watery sauce, totally bland with none of the signature kick it’s supposed to have. That salted shrimp “wild card” menu item they brag about? Just regular fried shrimp covered in way too much salt, nothing fun or special about it whatsoever. I always get the same thing when I come here.. and now I realize I’ve been missing out completely. For the first time today I finally decided to get something different.. I got the flounder special for 13.95. I’m not tryna be dramatic but this made my day fr cause I was not expecting so much food for that price. And yes the fish is seasoned real nice.
