The Original Dumpling Shop is an absolute gem! I had the pleasure of performing there with my Prolific Poet colleagues, and the atmosphere was incredible, warm, welcoming, and full of creative energy. It’s the perfect space for community, culture, and the arts to thrive. The food was just as amazing as the vibe. I had the fish stew with rice and peas, and it was absolutely delicious, rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The special sorrel drink was also so refreshing and truly a standout! Gr
The food is just ok for me. I ordered the whiting with fried dumplings and plantains. The fish was a bit bland. The dumplings and plantains were ok. Annmarie, the cashier, was amazing!!! She offered a warm greeting with a great smile. She's courteous, attentive, professional and has a great disposition. She consistently offered a high level of service to all customers
Food tastes great. However, the new white boxes they are using to serve food in are absolute garbage. The boxes leak and get saturated by the gravy inside of it sooo badly that even the napkins that were in the bag got wet too. I guess they are trying to find the cheapest option to serve food in that’s y they stopped serving in the plastic containers but this is horrible. By the time I got to my destination which was 15 minutes from the store, the box was just seeping fluid. Nov 26, 2025
