Smashburger is a solid burger spot in the Bronx. They surprisingly have a shrimp roll on the menu—not sure why, but it’s there. The breading is decent and the roll is soft; overall, it's okay. However, I’m a huge fan of their mushroom swiss burger; that is the gold standard for me. The customer service from the staff is what really makes the difference. Well I have heard so much about this place to be fully let down. As I entered I didn't smell anything cooking as if they weren't cooking any food. I asked for a toasted bun, mayonnaise, ketchup, cheese , pickles, tomato and onions. They didn't toast the bun. No mayonnaise or ketchup on the burger. They put ketchup in the bag but no mayonnaise.
