We had lunch at John Doe Craft Bar & Kitchen and had an amazing experience! Our server was so nice and welcoming. We ordered the potato skins and loved them. The food was great quality and so flavorful! We visited at lunch on a weekday. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, promptly seated, and our food arrived quickly. Highly recommend John Doe Craft Bar & Kitchen!
John Doe’s Bar in Flatiron is always a busy spot, and for good reason—especially with those $1 oysters that keep everyone coming back. The place gets packed, so expect a wait, especially if you want outdoor seating. I waited longer than I was initially told, but honestly it made sense given it was a Thursday happy hour and the crowd was there for the same deal I was. That said, the staff was very good and attentive even with how hectic it was. Once seated, everything felt smooth and well handle
The food was good overall. Unfortunately, the service could be improved. After being seated, I waited for some time while two servers were chatting in the corner, even though the restaurant was not particularly busy. On the positive side, the shorter server was very attentive and helpful. He seemed to be the only one actively serving customers during my visit.
